ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
Council is offering a great opportunity for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Engineering Works section. Reporting to Council’s Team Leader Utilities Construction, this is a hands-on leadership opportunity responsible for leading a skilled team in delivering essential water, wastewater, stormwater and revetment wall infrastructure for the community.
The role plays a key role in planning, coordinating and delivering construction programs, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard — on time, within budget and in line with Council’s operational objectives.
Your leadership will be key in fostering a collaborative environment that prioritises safety, environmental sustainability and high-quality outcomes.
To be successful you will bring
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council's values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
- Demonstrated excellent working knowledge of and a high level of experience in the construction, maintenance and operation of civil infrastructure.
- Certificate III in Construction, Project Management, Water Industry Operations, or Water Industry Treatment or equivalent.
- Proven experience in the supervision of staff and contractors, including monitoring performance, coordinating worksite activities and training and development.
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry Induction ticket (white card) or willingness to obtain.
The rewards
- A salary range of $80,900 to $92,800 per annum (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills and experience. This incorporates the payment of four hours of approved overtime per fortnight according to Council’s Annual Salary Agreement.
