ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

Reporting to Council’s Manager of Information Services, this leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to guide a skilled, multi-disciplinary team in delivering innovative, technology-driven business systems that support Council’s diverse operations. Additionally, the role involves coordinating the implementation and management of the Council’s spatial databases and other geospatial-related systems.

A key focus of the role is to contribute to the future direction of Council’s information management systems, while providing expert, high-level support and strategic advice to users across the organisation.

To be successful you will bring

  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an Information Technology discipline and/or equivalent demonstrated extensive experience.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in business systems management and analysis, business process review and change management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of relational database systems and associated reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated data management skills as they apply to complex organisations with multiple disparate data sets.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience and competence in the use and application of the Microsoft suite of products, particularly for the purpose of information extraction and manipulation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the delivery and management of integrated enterprise software solutions.
  • Proven understanding of geospatial concepts as used in a government or equivalent environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team of IT professionals and support staff.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing technology-based projects.

The rewards

  • An annual salary range of $105,100 to $120,600 per annum (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
