ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are seeking an appropriately qualified and experienced project manager to oversee the effective delivery of civil and building construction projects as outlined in the Delivery Program through effective project management and contract management in line with agreed standards, targets and objectives.

Although full time hours are preferable, Council will consider both part time and full time working arrangements, and will discuss preferred working arrangements with shortlisted candidates at interview stage.

  • Tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in overseeing civil construction projects or building design management, budgets and people in order to achieve desired outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to brief and manage service providers including consultants, contractors and temporary staff.
  • Proven sound project investigation and design skills associated with capital projects.
  • Proven excellent interpersonal skills, including high level ability to negotiate and consult on complex matters and provide technical advice and community information and services through effective written and verbal communication.

The rewards

  • A salary range of $93,500 to $120,600 per annum (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, level of experience and qualifications.
