ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are currently seeking a passionate individual with professional public and environmental health experience to join Council's Public and Environmental Health section.
Council is seeking a qualified, experienced, and motivated professional to join our Public and Environmental Health team. In this rewarding role, you will provide expert support and guidance in the delivery of a wide range of environmental health services. Reporting to the Coordinator Public and Environmental Health, you will play a vital role in protecting community wellbeing by conducting audits of on-site sewage management systems, assessing their performance, and identifying potential risks to public health and the environment.

- Tertiary qualifications in an environmental health / science related field.
- Demonstrated experience in an environmental health related role with working knowledge of modern systems of on-site sewage management.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing good rapport with various community sectors and dealing with a broad range of customers and community representatives in a courteous and professional manner.
- Demonstrated high-level communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to prepare environmental health reports and submissions.
The rewards
- An annual salary range of $84,300 to $107,300 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
