ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented individual to join our Financial Services team. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this position plays a key role in supporting the delivery of efficient and effective accounting and administrative services, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and Council’s policies and procedures. A primary focus of the role is the coordination of Council’s banking functions, including the processing of daily deposits and the reconciliation of bank accounts to the General Ledger.

To be successful you will bring

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accountancy or a similar discipline and/or sound experience in a similar role.
  • Proven sound knowledge of accountancy principles and application, including reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated sound administration skills with experience in the provision of high level customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience and competence in the use of computerised accounting systems, Microsoft 365, including Excel, and other corporate software.
  • High level attention to detail and accuracy.

The rewards

  • An annual salary range of $79,800 to $91,600 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
