ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a recent (or near) engineering graduate to kick-start their career in local government. As a Development Engineer (Graduate), you’ll be part of a forward-thinking team working on a range of development assessment and infrastructure projects that directly impact the liveability and sustainability of our region.

A key responsibility of the position is to provide a high level of support to the manager in ensuring the section’s goals and objectives are achieved.

To be successful you will bring

  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
  • Recent or substantial completion of tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven digital literacy with competence in Microsoft 365, namely Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team that has a focus on delivering quality customer service within set timeframes.

  • An annual salary range of $70,800 to $81,200 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
