ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are looking for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified and experienced individual to join Council's Infrastructure Planning team. The position of Development and Traffic Engineer provides expert advice and support on development assessments, with a focus on traffic, civil works, and construction inspections. The position plays a valuable part in shaping Council’s asset management, design, and engineering initiatives.
Hours of work for this part time position are 21 hours per week. Days and working hours will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
To be successful you will bring

- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in civil construction and subdivision development.
- Demonstrated experience related to the environmental, planning and development assessment process.
- Demonstrated high level communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to negotiate and consult on complex development assessment matters and provide technical advice and services.

- A part time annual salary range of $58,900 to $67,600 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
