ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
We are offering a great opportunity for an experienced and motivated person to join our Communications team. This position plays a key role within a dynamic and professional team focused on enhancing community engagement with Council’s services, programs and initiatives. A focus of the role is to contribute to the development and delivery of communication and marketing plans, with an emphasis on producing high-quality, creative content. You will support the timely creation and publication of engaging collateral across a range of digital and traditional media channels, helping to strengthen Council’s public presence and connection with the community.
Hours of work for this part time position are 28 hours per week.
To be successful you will bring
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
- Certificate IV qualification or higher in communications, graphic design, digital media or equivalent demonstrated experience.
- Proven experience in communications, marketing or a related field.
- Demonstrated high proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) and Canva.
- Proven experience using content management systems, particularly OpenCities and/or Granicus YourSay.
- Proven ability to deliver fast, accurate, and high-volume content production while consistently adhering to brand and communication guidelines.
- Demonstrated high level communication and administration skills.

- A part time annual salary range of $56,600 to $65,000 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
