ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

Council is seeking an organised, motivated and suitably experienced individual to join its People and Culture section. Reporting to Council’s Manager People and Culture, this position will provide high level support with Council’s fortnightly payroll processing. The position will also provide professional administration to support Council’s People and Culture functions.  

Hours of work for this part time position are 21 hours per week worked across Monday, Tuesday and Friday to align with payroll processing requirements.

To be successful you will bring

  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
  • TAFE certificate in business administration or equivalent and/or extensive previous experience in a payroll/ administrative position.
  • Demonstrated experience in a computerised financial management system.
  • Proven typing and data entry experience, requiring attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proven sound communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent customer service and deal with sensitive issues using diplomacy, assertiveness and compassion.
