ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
Council is offering a great opportunity for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual to supervise, coordinate and motivate Council’s Urban Vegetation and Sportsfield Maintenance teams.
This role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and effectiveness to ensure the delivery of high-quality horticultural and grounds maintenance services.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of horticulture practices, and a commitment to maintaining safe, attractive and sustainable environments for the community.

- Demonstrated experience in delivering a wide range of horticultural services.
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to manage and lead teams.

- Proven experience in budget administration, contract management and project management.
The rewards
- A salary range of $92,600 to $106,200 (plus 12% superannuation), dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications. This is applicable to a 9 day fortnight work arrangement, and incorporates the payment of five hours of approved overtime per fortnight according to Council’s Annual Salary Agreement.
- 9 day fortnight working arrangement. Full time field staff will have the option to apply to work a compressed four day work week, subject to operational and team based requirements and approval.
