ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

Council is currently seeking enthusiastic candidates with high level competence in the operation of a grader to join its road maintenance team. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating a grader and a range of other plant items, as well as conducting a variety of labouring duties, to support the completion of road maintenance projects. 

To be successful you will bring

  • Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council's values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
  • Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual.
  • Demonstrated high level competence in the operation of a grader in a civil construction and maintenance working environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience in road maintenance and construction duties associated with roads and roadsides.

The rewards

  • A salary range of $61,500 to $70,500 per annum (plus 11.5% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
  • 9 day fortnight working arrangement. Full time field staff will have the option to apply to work a compressed four day work week, subject to operational and team based requirements and approval.
