ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
Council is offering a great opportunity for a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic individual to lead and motivate work teams to complete construction programs specifically in the areas of water, wastewater, stormwater and revetment walls.
The successful candidate will play a key role in improving team performance and promoting a service oriented culture in line with Council and the Engineering Works Section values.
To be successful you will bring
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
- Demonstrated excellent working knowledge of and a high level of experience in the construction, maintenance and operation of civil infrastructure.
- Certificate III in Construction, Project Management, Water Industry Operations, or Water Industry Treatment or equivalent.
- Proven experience in the supervision of staff and contractors, including monitoring performance, coordinating worksite activities and training and development.
- Demonstrated well developed communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computers and devices.
The rewards
- A salary range of $75,500 to $86,700 per annum (plus 11.5% superannuation) dependent upon skills and experience.
