ABOUT THE ROLE

Position

We are looking for a safety conscious, dedicated and appropriately experienced and qualified individual to join Council's wastewater treatment plants team. Reporting to the Supervisor Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, this position is responsible for operating and maintaining Council’s wastewater and recycled water treatment plant facilities.

A key objective of the role will be to train and mentor trainees and to work constructively with the team to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.

To be successful you will bring

  • Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment operations including adherence to regulatory, health, environmental and safety requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in the supervision and training of staff.
  • Proven good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Demonstrated digital literacy with experience and competence in computer and devices (e.g. tablets, iPhone) applications.

  • An annual salary range of $65,800 to $75,500 (plus 12% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
