ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
Council is currently seeking an enthusiastic and capable individual to join its Concrete Construction and Drainage team. This position is responsible for performing a range of labouring and concreting duties associated with the maintenance and construction of footpaths, cycleways, kerb and guttering, drainage and other concrete slabs and structures.
To be successful you will bring

- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in all aspects of concreting, including formwork, pouring and screeding / finishing.
- Demonstrated experience in and ability to perform a range of physical labouring duties associated with the maintenance and construction of roads, roadsides and related infrastructure.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various items of minor plant and equipment.
The rewards
- A salary range of $53,900 to $61,800 per annum (plus 11% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
- 9 day fortnight working arrangement. Council is currently trialling a range of additional flexible working options including the ability for full time staff to request a four day compressed work week with a fixed day off each week.
