ABOUT THE ROLE
Position
Council is currently seeking enthusiastic and competent plant operators to join its engineering works section. The successful candidates will have specialist competence in the operation of a backhoe to support Council’s civil construction operational teams, consisting of road construction, road maintenance, concrete construction and drainage and water and wastewater construction.
To be successful you will bring
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates Council’s values of: creative, accessible, respect, energetic and safe.
- Class C driver licence with the ability to operate manual transmission and a good and safe driving record.
- Demonstrated high level competence in the operation of a backhoe in a civil construction and maintenance working environment.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in road construction and maintenance duties associated with roads and roadsides.
The rewards
- A salary range of $57,500 to $65,900 per annum (plus 11% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
