We are seeking an enthusiastic recent (or near) graduate or an experienced individual looking to expand their skills and experience through working with a professional and motivated team. The position of Water and Trade Waste Technical Officer is responsible for coordinating the management of liquid trade waste throughout the shire to ensure compliance with environmental standards and statutory requirements.

To be successful you will bring

  • Tertiary qualification, or substantial progress toward completion of a tertiary qualification, in an engineering or related field.
  • Proven knowledge and/or experience in the formulation and implementation of trade waste policies.
  • Proven well developed analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimum direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated skills in use of the Microsoft Office suite of computer applications, namely Word and Excel, and other corporate software.
  • Proven well developed communication skills, both oral and written, and strong customer service ethos.
